Yak-15 was developed by mating a jet with the airframe of the piston engined Yak-3 fighter
of WW II. It was the first jet fighter to enter Soviet Air Force service and some 280
aircraft were built. The Yak-15 was mainly used in the training role to give Soviet pilots
